Students at the Northboro Elementary Montessori Magnet School recently held a competition between classes and students raised over $2,000 to support the fight against Leukemia and Lymphoma. To teach the valuable lesson of helping others Northboro held the fundraiser with $2,318.11 being donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Palm Beach Chapter.
The class that raised the most money will now enjoy lunch from Olive Garden on Monday, April 2 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM in the Parent Resource Center at Northboro. According to Parent Liaison/Reading Resource teacher Margaret Bess, “The Parent Resource Center will be turned into an elegant Italian restaurant and students from the winning class will be served a delicious meal.
Northboro Elementary Principal Gayle Harper said, “Our students continue to learn the valuable lessons about the importance of helping others. I’m extremely proud of all our students and look forward to acknowledging the winning class for all its hard work.”
